The Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research is proud to announce AMNESIASCOPE, a series of rare and remarkable films curated by Nick Newman.Our debut screening on Thursday, March 21 at 7:30pm offers a feature from one of France's greatest, most-controversial filmmakers. Both thriller and character piece — bolstered by astonishing images and fearless performances alike — it suggests a precedent for the films of Lars von Trier, Catherine Breillat, and Claire Denis, a model for the novels of Michel Houellebecq, and stars a regular collaborator of Eric Rohmer.
